Well-funded, New York–based scientific research group developing supercomputer technology aimed at fundamentally transforming drug discovery seeks highly intelligent, resourceful, responsible, self-motivated individual(s) to handle all finance, accounting, and tax matters for organization. Candidates should have an outstanding history of academic and professional accomplishment as well as superior communication and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities may include implementing and improving financial operations systems within the company; acting as liaison among book, tax, operations, and technical groups; investigating relevant accounting and tax issues; and helping structure business arrangements for optimal accounting treatment. 5+ years of financial operations experience, especially within a technology or scientific environment, is preferred, but serious consideration will be given to any applicant with exceptional intellectual ability and a demonstrated track record of achievement.
This is a critical, high visibility position that offers the potential to learn about all aspects of the group`s technology, research, and operations.
